The Big Picture

Contributing

The interfaces of InOut are layered, allowing non-technical people to use high-level functions via a simple web-interface and advanced users connect their favorite application.

  • Client Side - for advanced users and artists.
  • Server Supported - for simple contributions.

Client Side

TheArtCollider supports any application that can produce OGG/Theora streams.

  • pure-data
  • MAX/MSP/Jitter
  • Fluxus
  • Text/Control (opensoundcontrol)
  • screen-capture
  • gstreamer, ffmpeg, etc..

"Out" - providing data streams

  • OggZCap - screen capture
  • Web-browser: Flash/Flex
  • darkice - audio connection
  • Flowmixer - built-in streaming.

"In" - receiving streams

  • Firefox & Google-Chrome have built-in support.
  • playback in any media player (VLC, mplayer, ..)
  • receive in MAX/MSP with Ogg-Pro externals
  • Pure-data extended with readanysf
  • Flowmixer - built inreceiver
  • “save to file” with web-browser or curl.
